Terms of Sale & Refunds

Last updated: August 1, 2026

In plain words: you can try Clappy free for 15 days before spending anything. If you decide to buy, payment is one-time, your licence is delivered by email right away and is yours for life. Because you get the key immediately, purchases are final and non-refundable — the free trial is there precisely so you can be sure before you pay.

1. Seller

Clappy is sold by Namua Consulting, a company registered in France under SIREN 929 997 674, VAT no. FR76929997674. Contact: contact@clappy.video. These Terms of Sale govern purchases of a Clappy licence. Your use of the Software is also subject to our Terms of Service & Licence.

2. What you are buying

You are buying a perpetual licence to use one edition of the Clappy desktop application — Light or Heavy — as described in the Terms of Service. This is a licence to a downloadable digital product, not a physical good and not a subscription. There are no recurring charges.

3. Price

The price of each edition is the one displayed at checkout at the time of your order, in the currency shown. Applicable taxes (for example VAT) are shown before you confirm. We may change our prices at any time, but changes never affect an order already placed.

4. Ordering & payment

Orders are placed through our payment provider, Stripe. When you confirm your order and complete payment, a binding contract is formed. We do not see or store your card details; they are handled by Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment is successful.

5. Delivery of your licence

Delivery is digital and immediate: after successful payment we email your licence key (of the form CLPY1-…) to the address you used at checkout, together with a download link for the edition you bought. If it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then contact contact@clappy.video and we’ll re-send it. Make sure to buy the edition you installed — a Light key does not unlock Heavy, and vice-versa.

6. Free trial

Every edition can be used free for 15 days before purchase, with no account and no payment method required. The trial lets you fully evaluate Clappy — import, analysis, editing and subtitles all work — so you can decide before you pay. Export and the AI title/description/chapters are the features that require a licence.

7. Right of withdrawal & refunds

Purchases are final and non-refundable. Because a full 15-day free trial lets you evaluate the product beforehand, and because your licence key is delivered to you immediately on purchase, we do not offer refunds once the key has been sent.

Under EU consumer law you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. That right is lost once delivery of digital content has begun with your prior agreement (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU; in France, Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code). At checkout you therefore expressly:

  • request immediate delivery of your licence key, and
  • acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once that delivery begins.

Your key is delivered immediately, so the right of withdrawal no longer applies after purchase. This does not affect the mandatory legal guarantees you have as a consumer: if the Software is faulty or does not conform, you remain entitled to the statutory remedies (in France, the garantie légale de conformité, Articles L217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code, and the garantie des vices cachés, Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code). If Clappy doesn’t work as described, contact us first — we’ll fix it or, where the law requires, refund you.

8. If something goes wrong

If your key doesn’t work, arrives for the wrong edition, or the Software has a defect, email contact@clappy.video with your order details. We’ll help promptly — re-issue the key, correct the edition, or resolve the fault.

9. Consumer mediation & disputes

These Terms of Sale are governed by French law; if you are a consumer you also keep the mandatory protections of your country of residence. In case of a dispute you couldn’t resolve with us directly, an EU consumer may seek an amicable settlement, including through the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms of Sale. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you place it. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
